The biggest story of her life is the one he wants to hide. I’m homeless by choice. I have no intention of returning to my former life after what I’ve done. This—living among the filth and discarded remnants of others—is what I deserve. As atonement for my sins, I give back; I help those who cannot help themselves. But it’s always under the guise of anonymity. Newspaper headlines throughout the city are clamoring to discover my identity. Including the beautiful woman who manages to see through my “armor.” She has the capability to put my entire life at risk.
I don't get to read a lot of 5-star books and if the rating could go higher - this book would have a higher rating. I had the absolute pleasure of reading the paperback ARC of this and I found no errors whatsoever. In fact, I was so engrossed in this book I couldn't stop until 7 o'clock the next morning. This had what I wish other books had...A storyline and not just gratuitous sex. As a matter of fact, it was almost 75 percent of the book until any adult situations like sexual content showed up. Jude was the best hero I've ever come across, he was homeless by choice and he had a strong moral compass. I pictured him as being this guy who was tortured by memories of the past and atoning for the things that had happened. He was altruistic and always looked out for others. There was just no other heroine for him than Faith and together they made the perfect team. This book resonated so much in my heart because you don't see that kind of goodness in people anymore without a reason. Jude had no reason other than he wanted to help others and to me this book had such an awesome message. For those that think that the romance side might be light - it's worth it in so many other ways! This is one book that no one will be upset they picked up.
